An invitation to slow down, listen and create together. Through somatic movement, guided improvisation and embodied creative practices, movement gradually becomes a collective painting, until what usually passes between people unseen is there to be looked at. No experience in dance or in art is needed. This is the one workshop whose work does not go to the exhibition: it carries straight into the site-specific performance that closes the residency that evening.

Improvisus is an invitation to slow down, listen and create together. Through somatic movement, guided improvisation and embodied creative practices, participants will reconnect with themselves, with others and with the surrounding landscape.

During the journey, movement gradually transforms into a collective painting, allowing invisible experiences, emotions and relationships to become visible through shared artistic expression.

The workshop culminates later that same day in a simple site-specific performance, where the movement and the collective artwork come together as a living celebration of the creative process. So unlike every other workshop in the programme, what you make here is not hung for the exhibition. It becomes the evening.

Because of that, bring something to wear with a touch of space, astronaut or cosmos about it. The evening has a world of its own, and it is the people in the room who build it.

It is open to anyone curious about movement, creativity and self-expression. No previous experience in dance or painting is required, only curiosity and openness.

The August residency is over and nothing here is for sale any more. The page stays up as a record of the day. We are now bringing our creative services, living galleries and art residencies to hotels and guest houses — if that is you, or you would simply like to know what comes next, write to us.

We answer every message personally.
