- When
- Saturday 15 August
- Time
- 9:30 to 17:30
- Length
- A full day
Learn the technique of transferring an image onto stone, and spend the day making a sacred stone of your own. Together the group builds an altar installation that stays with the residency, and Jyoti gives a talk on what altars have meant across different cultures, and on how to relate to one day to day. Your stone comes home with you at the end of the residency.
The altar we build together is dedicated to the principle of Creativity and creation, so choose your image with that in mind before you come. Think about divine inspiration: which god, goddess, symbol or natural element is a source of it for you? Choose it intentionally, to fill the space, and pick a stone that matches it.

The residency has closed
This day has been and gone
The August residency is over and nothing here is for sale any more. The page stays up as a record of the day. We are now bringing our creative services, living galleries and art residencies to hotels and guest houses — if that is you, or you would simply like to know what comes next, write to us.
We answer every message personally.
